Melges welcomes its newest Melges 15 dealer, Colie Sails, serving the state of New Jersey.

Founded in 1976 by Dev and Steph Colie, Colie Sails is now run by Clay Johnson in Point Pleasant, NJ. Colie Sails focuses on dinghies, junior sailing boats, and high-performance boats, and they are excited to add the Melges 15 to their collection of boats they offer. Colie Sails is focused on growing sailing and including as many people as possible; they sponsor fall and spring series, attend many local events, provide rigging expertise at nearby yacht clubs, and are a resource for all sailors.

Melges team member, Eddie Cox, spoke with Johnson about training local high school sailors on the M15 and what Johnson enjoys most about the boat.

“The Melges 15 ticks all the boxes. You can race it at a high level, you can run learn to sail lessons in it, and you can do everything in between. It’s the perfect boat for a parent/child, husband/wife, 2 friends, etc. Not only that, but it’s really fun!” said Johnson. “I’m excited to promote this boat in New Jersey and help build the national fleet. I think Melges really hit it out of the park with this boat”
