Melges Performance Sailboats is looking for motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team. 

High-Performance Rigging Specialist
Location: Zenda, WI

This position helps bring our boats to life, one line, mast, and boom at a time. In this hands-on role, you’ll be at the heart of the action, rigging masts and booms, crafting standing and running rigging systems, and working closely with the Melges Team to deliver championship-ready boats. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and rig high-performance sailboat masts, booms, and spinnaker systems
  • Produce precision standing and running rigging using modern materials and techniques
  • Maintain high-quality standards while meeting production timelines
  • Collaborate with the production and service team to ensure every boat meets the Melges standard of excellence
  • Support regatta prep, boat launches, and customer deliveries as needed 

Experience:

  • A passion for sailing and technical craftsmanship
  • Experience with sailboat rigging or a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Familiarity with Dyneema, wire, and modern rope splicing (or a willingness to learn)
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and a team-first attitude

Production Boat Builder
Location: Zenda, WI

From start to finish, our production team plays a critical role in delivering the performance, quality, and craftsmanship that Melges is known for. This position involves a wide range of boatbuilding tasks—from fiberglass laminating and structural assembly to finishing work, detailing, and final prep. Whether you're an experienced composite technician or someone with a background in skilled trades who is eager to learn, this is your chance to work with a team that takes pride in building boats that are raced and admired worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fiberglass laminating and hull assembly
  • Interior and exterior boat finishing
  • Detailing and final prep work
  • Working with precision and care to meet the highest standards of quality

Experience:

  • Experience in composite work, boat building, or similar trades preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
  • Ability to work with hand tools and follow instructions
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
